Florida law requires nurses to complete two hours in domestic violence one time every three renewal cycles. This activity is designed to meet this requirement. Note that these two hours are in addition to the required 24 hours of general continuing education.
Domestic violence is a global public health problem that does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, zip code, sexual orientation, or gender. This new course will explore topics such as domestic violence throughout the lifespan, the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on domestic violence, and the role of the nurse in identifying and helping victims of all ages.
