Pathology for the Health Professions, Fifth Edition Histology is a visual science that addresses the anatomical characteristics and the functional states of cells and tissues in health. In this course, clinical relevance is stressed in order to provide the technologist a feel for the mechanisms and characteristics of disease processes.
