Attention CCM's: As of August 1, 2020, this course will provide 1.25 contact hours towards your CCM certification and 2 hours towards your nursing license. For those not certified by CCMC, the amount of hours awarded for this course remains unchanged. Please contact us with any questions regarding this change.

This course is designed to meet the requirement that nurses licensed in Florida earn two contact hours in domestic violence every third renewal cycle. These two contact hours are in addition to the 24 hours that Florida nurses normally earn. Here's the wording from the Florida Board of Nursing website:

"Domestic Violence (DV) is now a 2-hour requirement every third renewal (every 6 years). Since DV is a 2-hour requirement, the licensee will have 26 hours of CE during the renewal period when DV is taken."
