Ohio nurses are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education during each renewal period including at least one hour in Category A. According to the Board’s regulations, Category A includes continuing education that explains the rules of the Ohio Board of Nursing (found in Chapter 4723, of the Revised Code and the rules of the Ohio Board of Nursing as set forth in Rule 4723-14-03, OAC) and the laws it administers. Any Category A obtained after February 1, 2009 must be approved by an OBN approver or offered by an OBN approved provider unit that is headquartered in the state of Ohio.
The purpose of this course is to meet the one contact hour Category A requirement (laws and rules).
This course addresses what's new in Ohio nursing law, including changes in statutes and rules that have become effective since Spring 2015, including changes made in the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code through March 1, 2017.
This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Approval is valid through 04/20/2019
